JAIPUR -- The Pink City

Jaipur is a vibrant amalgamation of the old and the new. Also called the Pink City, the capital of the royal state of Rajasthan, was ruled by the Rajputs for many centuries and developed as a planned city in the 17th century AD. Along with Delhi and Agra, Jaipur forms the Golden Triangle and hails as one of the most famous tourist circuits of the country.

          

                           Amer Fort

Amber Fort, situated 11 kms from Jaipur, is a fort built with great artistic taste. Cradled on the top of a hill forming a beautiful reflection in Maotha Lake, it is popularly known as Amer Fort.

                          City Palace

Located in Jaipur, The City Palace is the main palace from where the Maharaja reigned from. The palace includes the Chandra Mahan and Mubarak Mahal along with various other buildings within the complex. It is located towards the north-eastern side of Jaipur.

                          Hawa Mahal

The Hawa Mahal stands at the intersection of the main road in Jaipur, Badi Chaupad. It is regarded as the signature building of Jaipur and was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

                        Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is the largest stone astronomical observatory in the World. It is located just next to the city palace of Jaipur in Rajasthan. Chand Baori is a major tourist attraction site in Abhaneri village and is a very big step well with flights of steps on the three sides that lead to the water reserve.

The best time to visit Kolkata is autumn and winter month between october to february, as the weather is perfect and festives. This is the season were most of the travellers arrives, especially during Durga Puja. Kolkata is the best place to travel with family and friends. There are a lots of other best places in kolkata which attracts the tourists most, like

It is said to be the first cathedral built in the overseas territory of the British Empire, St. Paul's Cathedral is a Anglican cathedral located in Kolkata. Also said to be the seat of the Diocese of Calcutta, the church was completed in 1847. The church is said to be a very fine example of Indo-Gothic style of architecture.

                            Birla Mandir

The glowing structure that adorns the streets of Kolkata is the popular Hindu Temple, Birla Temple. Dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha, the temple is perfect specimen of craftsmanship.

                           Eden Garden

Popular as the largest cricket stadium in the India and the second largest in the world, the Eden Gardens can seat 66,000 spectators. Extremely popular as a sporting destination, it regularly hosts one day, test and T20 matches. Presently it is the home turf of IPL Team Kolkata Knight Riders and the regional Bengal Cricket Team. Eden Garden is also known to host several Association Matches. You can visit the stadium when no matches are being held. In order to do so, you need permission from CAB or Cricket Association of Bengal.

                        Kalighat Temple

Kalighat Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Sthals of India, is one of the most visited Kali temples in India. The spot is where the toes of Sati's right foot fell during Shiva's Rudra Taandav naach.

Place to visit in Summer -- DARJEELING

Darjeeling is the best place to visit in summer, april to june are the best month to visit. It is a town in India's west bengal, in the Himalayan Foothills. Its famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dots its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjanga, among the world's largest peak. It is also very famous for its richness in cultural & natural heritage and the famous toy train that has been declared as UN heritage

              I also went to Darjeeling 2 or 3 times in summer holidays, as it is one of my favorite place to visit during summer.
